one year and one half!

So we're already to 18 months! How crazy is that?
I can't tell you how excited I am about 'Bama becoming our next president. As a matter of fact, when he televised that 30-minute show all about himself, I was awake and watching (sort of). Anyway, his face came on the big screen and I knew immediately that I liked this guy. I walked over and gave him a big kiss. Then, my mom said, "Hey, Lowell...can you say O-ba-ma?" I just turned around and smiled and said, "Bama!" This was a big deal for her because I pretty much never repeat what she asks me too. However, I have quite a few words under my belt these days and I like to throw things out there, just out of the blue sometimes to really knock them off their feet.
The other night we were at my best friend, Gigi's house and we were playing in her room. I put my head on the pillow and said, "nightnight" multiple times, plain as day. I never say that around Mom and Dad. Oh, and yesterday, instead of pointing and grunting at my snack cup, like I usually do, I pointed and said, "nack, nack". They were blown away by that one!
Oh, and also, I have a big baby crush on my best friend's little brother. He's two months old, and I have this crazy obsession for babies right now. Everything is "baby this or baby that." If you point at a shampoo bottle, I say "baayybeeessss", same goes for the fridge, the car, pretty much everything. I really like babies and right now I'm really into my dad holding me like a baby. I never realised how awesome that was when I was a baby, and now I do. So crazy when you get older the things you took for granted. Oh, so Gigi, Baby Judah and their mom left from our house the other day and I said my first toddler sentence: "Gigi, baby, byebye."
Here are some of the phrases I like to use: Uh oh! Oh no! Cool car! Cool truck! Alright! Go away (talking to bees)! Nightnight! Good throw! Oh boy!
Here are some of my fave things to do:
singing, dancing, making music (especially with my goombah, i.e. guitar), painting, "cooking", talking on the phone, playing with my friends, visiting with grandparents (Granzy Suzn was here recently and Pops walked the MS Walk with us - looking forward to Granny and Papa from England to come visit!);hugging my friends and family and the random stranger every now and then; peek-a-boo is always a winner; kicking or throwing a ball around; driving the car; going to the park; oh and now tumbling lessons!
So, went to the dr. today and here's what they said:
I'm 35 1/2 inches long (which Mom doesn't believe because she says I don't come up to her belly button - however, I must admit it is very difficult to get me to stand still for more than two seconds - I'm like a shark - I must keep moving to survive).
I'm 32 pounds 11 ounces (this was also a big surprise to Mom as the last time we were there they said 34 pounds. BUT, I was wearing clothes and shoes, so it didn't really count. This time they weighed me naked as the day I arrived on the baby-weighing scales so there was no disputing it).
And in other great news, my head growth is starting to slow down. Officially I measure at 51.5 centimeters. I think now my mammoth brain is working on making all those little ridges rather than growing in size. But it's still growing.
Well, that's all I have - more pictures will be arriving soon! Urgh - keeping up with the blog AND working on the holidays, plus all the birthdays we've missed. Give my mom some slack - I keep her super busy!
