Here's the latest info:
Between Jan 28th and Feb. 1st, Lowell grew 1 inch exactly. He's still hovering at that height, which is about 40 1/2" tall. His weight has not changed significantly and he's still at about 41 1/2 lbs (as of today).
The things Lowell is interested in are:
dirtbikes, motocross, skateboards, snowboarding, bmx trick bikes, racing bikes (motorcycles), painting, playing the drums, making up songs about everything, monster trucks, race cars, ferraris, playing his guitar, cuddling, playing in his sand box, building, playing with his big diggers and construction vehicles, doing "ballerina spins", swinging on big swings, jumping off everything like he's doing skateboard tricks like his cousin Colby, riding his bike on a half-pipe, cutting and glueing things, pretending to rollerskate, and so much more...
His favorite movies currently are: Whip It!, Ice Age III, and lots of Shaun the Sheep shorts and Rory the Racing Car (all brought to us by the grandparents). *Thanks, Granzy, we have to watch Ice Age III just about twice a day. Today he got cut off, though.
Some of his favorite things to say are, "actually" "it's complicated" "don't move a muscle" "you have to trust me" "you should do _______ for me" "I need/I want"
He loves penguins and sea turtles almost to the point of obsession. That sea turtle costume I bought for him for Halloween in 2008 still gets lots of use, almost daily.
